Notes and minor additions on The Nature of the Virgin Sophia and of the Holy Spirit
Christ
The Great Cosmic Being, second Person of the Godhead. Descended to earth from the Sun, the sphere of the Elohim. Descended from even greater Cosmic Heights, the central Spiritual Sun and the Sirius Star.
See: Alice Bailey: Esoteric Astrology, the Creative Hierarchies
Referred to as Yahve when He worked from the Lunar sphere in Old Testament times. Known to Zarathustra as Ahura Mazdao.
He united with the Earth through the body of Jesus of Nazareth. Through his crucifixion and resurrection, the Mystery of Golgotha, evil materialistic beings in the earth were paralyzed, allowing humanity to ascend.
This Event must produce an effect upon the true Christian; that it must give something by which he may gradually develop the beginnings of a purified astral body [the Virgin Sophia]
Human spirits trapped in the underworld were liberated from their chains upon Christ's descent; the harrowing of hell.
The Christ Child
A pure soul that experienced her first physical incarnation as the Nathanian Jesus boy. The Sibling Soul of Adam. She did not experience the Fall of man into matter and remained in the soul world as an angelic being in close relationship with Christ.
The Holy Spirit
Then the Luciferic Spirits are cleansed and purified in the fire of Christianity and the wrong done to the earth by them is changed into blessing. “Ye shall be illumined by the new Spirit, by the Holy Spirit!” This “Holy Spirit” is none other than the Spirit through whom man can apprehend what Christ has wrought.
Sophia
The feminine aspect of God. A Being who represents Wisdom, who appears when the the Holy Spirit descends on those with purified astral bodies, thereby attaining real Wisdom, not only the abstract knowledge of Lucifer.
Known through many lenses in different cultures, as the goddess Isis, Athena, Ishtar, etc. and the Blessed Mother, offering compassion, wisdom, intercession, protection, or guidance.
Jesus of Nazareth
High level Initiate who had advanced to such a level in previous incarnation that he was to prepare his bodily vehicles (physical, etheric, and astral) and withdraw his ego, in such a way that his physical body would remain perfectly intact, thereby allowing the Christ Being to enter.
Christ Jesus, or Jesus Christ
After the Baptism of Jesus by John, Christ united with the corporality of Jesus, which had been so purified that such a happening was possible. Referred to in the Gospels as the descent of the dove, the Holy Spirit upon Jesus at his Baptism. Christ Jesus walked the Earth from 30 to 33 years old until the Mystery of Golgotha.
Those who understand these things know that wherever condensation takes place, a spiritualization also always occurs. Therefore, it was not only a physical process that took place when the blood flowed from the wounds of the Saviour, but it was actually accompanied by a spiritual process; that is, the Holy Spirit which was received at the Baptism united Itself with the earth; that the Christ Himself flowed into the very being of the earth.
From now on, the earth was changed, and this is the reason for saying to you, in earlier lectures, that if a person had viewed the earth from a distant star, he would have observed that its whole appearance was altered with the Mystery of Golgotha. The Sun Logos became a part of the earth, formed an alliance with it and became the Spirit of the Earth.
The Virgin birth
The mystical conception of the Christ Child, the Sibling Soul of Adam. The details of which are not publicly revealed.
Mother of Jesus, the Blessed Mother
She had attained such high level of spiritual development and purity from previous incarnations that only she was fit to be the Christ Child's mother. Known in esoteric Christianity as the Virgin Sophia because she perfectly represents the principle of wisdom through purity.
He did so through his authorship of the Gospel of St. John, which is more esoteric than the other Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke.) and has a unique power of effect on the reader.
John 19:25-27
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!”
27 Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
Joseph
The father of Jesus, who fathered him in an esoteric manner. He was from a powerful bloodline going back to Abraham (Gospel according to Mark) and more esoterically back to Adam through the House of David (Gospel according to Luke).
Adam is referred to as the "Son of God." This goes back to the primal incarnation, when humanity transitioned from purely spiritual existence to physical, taking on heredity.
All the Gospels provide a unique interpretation of the Life of Jesus Christ, emphasizing different aspects.
[We] are able to understand how the physical mother of Jesus was an external manifestation, an external image of the Virgin Sophia; to understand what spiritual importance the Virgin Sophia had for the pupil of the Mysteries, whom the Christ loved; again to understand how, ...for the other Evangelists—who view the bodily descent of Jesus as important—the physical father plays his significant part when it was a question of the external imprint of the God-idea in the blood;
and further, to understand what significance the Holy Spirit had for John, the Holy Spirit through which the Christ was begotten in the body of Jesus and dwelt therein during the three years and which is symbolized for us in the descent of the Dove at the Baptism by John... we must call the father of Christ Jesus the Holy Spirit who begot the Christ in the bodies of Jesus.
Mary Magdalene
One of Jesus' most intimate disciples, known for her devotion, who underwent catharsis and developed the power to perceive Spirit over Matter. Also known as Faith, which later develops into a power of visible perception of Spirit through the development of the inner sense organs (clairvoyance).
Perceiving in the spirit...means that the person transforms his astral body to such a degree through the power of the Event of Palestine that what he sees need not be before him externally and physically-sensible.
...The woman who anointed the feet of Christ Jesus in Bethany had received through the Event of Palestine the powerful force needed for spiritual perception...one of those who first understood that what had lived in Jesus was present after His death, that is, had been resurrected. She possessed this faculty.
Because of her faith and devotion, she was able to see the astral and etheric bodies of Jesus at His tomb, and was one of the first to see the Risen Christ, though she did not recognize Him at first.
For blessed are they who are able to know what they do not see outwardly!
John 20:11
Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping; and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the sepulchre, and seeth two angels in white sitting.
Christianity is still unfolding...
He is there and will come again, although not in a form of flesh, but in a form in which those who have been sufficiently developed through the power of the Gospel of St. John, can actually perceive Him and possessing the power to perceive Him, they will no longer be unbelieving.
